A Message to Parents...
As a parent of a child with ADHD, you want to do everything to help your child succeed – but the usual treatments can be challenging. Maybe you’re worried about medication side effects, or your child doesn’t want to take another pill. We understand. That’s why Monarch eTNS® was developed: to give families a new, gentle way to manage ADHD symptoms at home.
You’re not alone in wondering if there’s another way…
Now there is.

What Is the Monarch eTNS System?
®

Monarch eTNS® is a non-drug treatment for kids with ADHD.
It’s not a pill or medication – it’s a small device, about the size of an Apple TV remote, that gently stimulates nerves on the forehead while your child sleeps. This nerve signaling can help improve attention and behavior over time.
Each night, you simply put a soft adhesive patch on your child’s forehead (it feels like a sticker). The patch is connected to the Monarch device. Turn it on, and that’s it – mild pulses will stimulate the trigeminal nerve (a nerve on the forehead) for about 8 hours.
Don’t worry, your child can sleep comfortably – most children describe a mild tingling, and often fall asleep easily with it. In the morning, you remove the patch. Over the weeks, these gentle signals help regulate parts of the brain that affect ADHD.
How to Use in 3 Steps

Step 1:
Parent applies patch at bedtime.

Step 2:
Device ON – child sleeps

Step 3:
Morning – remove patch,
enjoy your day!
How Can It Help My Child?
Drug-free: Nothing to swallow, no medication side effects. Monarch eTNS® can be used on its own, so it’s a great option if you’re not ready for or not seeing results from medication.
Safe and Gentle: FDA-cleared as a low-risk therapy; no serious side effects were reported in clinical studies.¹ ²
Works During Sleep: No daytime disruption. Treatment happens overnight, so your child’s day isn’t affected. They can go to school without anyone knowing they’re on therapy (no nurse visits needed).
Clinically Proven to Help¹ ²: In a clinical trial, children showed a statistically significant reduction in ADHD-RS-IV scores after four weeks (See below for more on the study).¹ ²
Easy to Use at Home: You don’t need to go to a hospital or have special training. The device system comes with simple instructions. And if you ever have questions, the Monarch support team will be there to help (via phone).

Clinical Outcomes: What Parents and Doctors Observed
In clinical studies of Monarch eTNS®, parents and physicians saw meaningful, drug-free improvements in children’s focus, behavior, and daily life—often within the first month of nightly use.
-
Rapid, visible gains. In an eight-week pilot study, doctors rated 64 % of children “much improved” or “very much improved” after only four weeks of therapy; this rose to 71 % by week eight. Parents completing the same scales reported parallel improvements at home.¹
-
Substantial symptom relief. ADHD-RS-IV scores fell by 47 % over eight weeks, reflecting better attention control and fewer disruptive behaviors in class and at home.¹

-
Strong clinical confirmation. In a double-blind, sham-controlled trial, children treated with Monarch eTNS® showed a statistically significant drop in ADHD-RS-IV scores versus sham after four weeks of monotherapy. Quantitative EEG revealed beneficial shifts in attention-regulating brain networks only in the active group.²
-
Benefits that persist. When treatment was paused, symptoms in both groups rose, yet remained lower in children who had received active eTNS, suggesting a lingering effect beyond nightly use.²
-
Excellent tolerability. Across both studies zero serious adverse events occurred, and every child completed the course—underscoring the therapy’s family-friendly safety profile.¹ ²
Together, these findings give families and clinicians confidence that Monarch eTNS® can deliver meaningful ADHD relief in as little as one month, with continued gains over time—all while children sleep comfortably at home.¹ ²
Is it Safe for My Child?

Yes. Monarch eTNS® was carefully tested in clinical trials with children, and the FDA reviewed its safety and cleared it for home use in kids as young as 7.
It uses a mild electrical impulse, far weaker than, say, the shocks from a TENS unit or the electrical activity in your brain normally.
There have been no serious side effects linked to it. In trials, some kids felt a little drowsy in the mornings or got a slight headache, but these effects were temporary and went away.
The stimulation intensity can be adjusted to your child’s comfort. Parents always supervise the use (especially applying/removing the patch), so you’re in control.
